The AWM-500 series is a full-metal version of the first G-SHOCK analog-digital model. Based on the AW-500, the first G-SHOCK analog-digital combination model released in 1989, it features hard stainless steel for the bezel and band. The entire watch is gold IP-treated. The band was developed specifically for the AWM-500, with the links closest to the case designed with curved lines to reproduce the smooth shape of the AW-500. A screw-back case back is used. The bezel has a mirror and hairline finish on each surface, and the three-dimensional indexes on the dial enhance the texture. The Multi Band 6 feature automatically corrects the time. It also has practical features such as a tough solar power system for stable operation, a high-brightness full-auto double LED light, and world time.
